The mortal victim of the accident that occurred yesterday in Fafe is from Guimarães. Francisca Rafaela Salgado Leite, 23, was killed by a car in the parish of Medelo, where she lived.
The victim was hit by a car driven by a woman who ran away and was identified by the GNR. Francisca Rafaela had just put her son in the car when he was picked up by a car driven by an octogenarian.
The alert for the fact was given at 12:03 and approximately two hours after the incident, the driver of the vehicle was still partly unsure, with authorities trying to locate her.
The death of the young woman was confirmed on the spot, where means of the Fafe Fire Department, the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEM) and the Republican National Guard (GNR) in Fafe were sent.
The body is found at the Guimarães morgue facilities to be performed an autopsy. For this reason, funeral ceremonies are not yet scheduled.
