A 19-year-old was arrested by the PSP earlier this Wednesday afternoon, after attacking two policemen who approached him for not having a mask on a Porto metro train.

The situation developed around 1:00 p.m. The aggressor, a resident of Rio Tinto, Gondomar, made the trip between Fânzeres, in the same municipality, and the city of Porto. In the composition, there were two agents of the PSP for the civilian, who were still going to enter the service and quickly realized the discomfort that the other passengers showed by the fact that the young man was without a mask.

When approached by the police, he reacted in an untimely manner, demanding identification from them, since it was not believed that they were, in fact, agents of the authority. He then said that he did not have a mask in his possession, that he was going to meet his girlfriend at a station and that she had his mask.

When the PSP asked the man for identification, he responded with great violence. One of the officers suffered injuries to the face and had to be transferred to the Porto Military Hospital. The young man was finally arrested and arrested for resisting and coercing an employee.
