“You will shut up” from Biden to Trump changes the rules of the final debate: the microphones will be off

Biden’s controversial phrase addressed to Trump: “Shut up, man” – marked the first US presidential debate of 2020. Due to the constant interruptions while Biden spoke, and to avoid repeating the same in the final debate between the two candidates, the microphone of the candidate who is not speaking will be muted so that both can speak without the opponent intervening out of time.

The decision was made by the organizers of the final debate and aims to avoid the interruptions that hampered the first confrontation.

The final showdown is scheduled for Thursday night and will be the last chance to win over the voters before voting ends on November 3.

“President Trump is committed to debating Joe Biden regardless of last minute changes to the bias commission rules in his latest attempt to give the front runner an advantage,” said campaign manager Bill Stepien.
