A wooden structure fell this Wednesday on the terrace of the dining room of the Oeiras Parque Shopping Center, in Oeiras. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m., when many people were having lunch at the scene. However, no one was injured.
There were many people eating on the dining room terrace. Luckily there was no one at the affected tables “, informs TVI as a witness on the spot.
The same witness says that the area was immediately blocked by security guards and “covered with a cloth.”
Contacted by phone, the mall confirmed the fall of “a wooden pergola structure”, without causing personal injury or other material damage.
According to the same source in the shopping center, “the people were removed at the time of the accident, just in case, but the structure is already being repaired and the area is expected to reopen soon.”
TVI also contacted rescue agencies and authorities, who said they had not been called to the scene.
