As for the cases confirmed today, they are two children (ages 5 and 16) who attend educational establishments in the municipalities of Funchal, an adult with a professional activity in one of these educational establishments and a health professional, with professional activity in the private sector.
Thus, the Region now has 793 confirmed cases of covid-19, of which 209 are active, of which 48 are imported cases identified in the context of surveillance activities implemented at the Madeira airport and 161 are transmission cases. . site. Regarding the residence of active cases, 30 are non-residents and 179 are residents of the RAM.
Regarding the isolation of active cases, 31 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 176 in their own accommodation and two people remain hospitalized, one in the Polyvalent Unit dedicated to covid-19 and a patient in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to covid- 19.
The Region continues with only two deaths associated with the disease.
