A woman would have been hit with a knife during the late afternoon of this Wednesday at her home and after an alleged divorce litigation filed against her ex-partner. Two minor children leave the relationship, who were already in the care of the woman, who was still living at home. According to what we were able to verify, the alleged perpetrator of the crime had one month to leave the residence hall, all of this after the court’s decision, which agreed with the female individual, granting him residence.
According to JM, the victim, who is about 50 years old, was caught by the perpetrator of the alleged crime hours after learning of the judicial decision to convict him in the divorce proceedings filed by the woman. The man was detained by the Public Security Police and handed over to the Judicial Police, which is now investigating the alleged attempted murder.
As a friend of the couple told JM, there was an alleged discussion between the two adults, with the man hitting the victim’s abdomen, the woman who was already being operated on by a surgical team, seriously risking her life.
The rescue was carried out by a team and an ambulance from the Câmara de Lobos Volunteer Firefighters, as there were no ambulances available in Funchal.
