The districts of Évora, Faro, Setúbal, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Portalegre will be under yellow warning until 3:00 p.m. today.
The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) also issued a yellow warning for the districts of Faro, Beja and Setúbal until 12:00 today due to the forecast of strong southwest wind with gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. .
The IPMA also placed the north coast of Madeira and the island of Porto Santo under orange alert due to the rough sea, forecasting northwest waves of 5 to 6 meters, reaching a maximum height of 10 to 12 meters.
The orange warning will be in effect until 12:00 today, and then yellow until 18:00 on Friday.
The archipelago is also under yellow alert due to the strong wind with gusts of up to 70/80 kilometers per hour, being 90/100 kilometers per hour in the mountainous regions of Madeira.
This wind warning will be in effect between 10:00 a.m. Today’s and 12:00 p.m. M. From Friday.
The orange warning indicates a meteorological situation of moderate to high risk and the yellow one is issued by the IPMA whenever there is a risk for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
