Once active, the Joker helps load more malware onto the smartphone, which then aims to subscribe to WAP services (Wireless Applications Protocol) without the knowledge or consent of the user. Furthermore, according to security company ZScaler, Joker can also help hackers to access your personal data such as messages, contact list and personal information.

It is possible that more apps on the Google Play Store are infected with the Joker malware, but for now, these are the ones that have already been confirmed.
To ensure that you do not have any of these applications installed on your smartphone, it is very easy. Just go to your phone settings and then open the “Applications and notifications” tab. Through the application list, you can see all the Apps installed on the smartphone.
