“Rui Viana, 26, had joined the club this season, quickly conquering the entire structure and the entire squad due to his extraordinary work capacity, his enormous dedication and his excellent group spirit that helped promote ”, the Minho club explained in a statement.
“It will be a very felt loss for Vitória SC, but in this so hard time It is with family, friends and all those who have had the privilege of sharing moments with Rui Viana that we have our thoughts, transmitting the necessary strength to face this painful moment ”, he added.

Rui Viana started in the Rio Tinto youth team, and then went on to form other clubs such as Varzim, Benfica (in junior, in 2016/17) and Sp. Braga (from 2017 to 2019, having the last season in the U23). In the last season, the physiologist was as physical preparation for Academic and Desp. Keys.
