Last Tuesday, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) closed a gym in the town of Forte da Casa, in Vila Franca de Xira.

The space in question continued to function despite the restrictions imposed by the Government, with eight clients inside, when the authorities arrived.

In a statement, PSP reports that it managed to intercept a customer at one of the doors, as well as the owner of it.

“After a dialogue established with the owner of the space”, an inspection was carried out inside, “it was possible to intercept the remaining clients within it”, who “tried to hide their presence, through a trapdoor that gave access to the roof of the building “.

Nine notifications of administrative infractions were filed, corresponding to eleven infractions.

PSP points out that the gym “clearly failed to comply with the measures derived from the declaration of the current state of emergency, that is, because they violated the closure of the establishment’s activity, the general duty of compulsory collection and the use of a mask.”
