The detection of a car, today at the end of the night in the municipality of Braga, claimed two victims.
The accident occurred in Sameiro, on a one-way street behind the local GNR post in Espinho parish.
As could be seen immediately, the driver, a young man in his 30s, lost control of the vehicle at the exit of a curve and ended up colliding with a tree on the side.
“On our arrival we found two imprisoned victims. A man, a driver and a woman, also young and following the driver’s side, ”confirmed the commander of rescue operations in the theater of operations, Alexandre Viana, of the Volunteer Firefighters of Braga.
In the theater of operations to help the victims, in addition to the Volunteer Firefighters of Braga, the INEM had the support of VMER in Braga.
“The victims were considered seriously injured,” said Alexandre Viana, referring that the alert was issued at 10:45 pm.
The second commander of the corporation was contacted, who was also at the site with the reinforcement of the command vehicle, Pedro Dias, who highlighted the action of the GNR.
“They played a fundamental role in supporting one of the victims, that is, in stabilizing and immobilizing the victim, until our arrival,” said Pedro Dias.
The wounded, the 30-year-old man from Guimarães and the 30-year-old woman from Braga, were transferred to the Braga Hospital.
GNR, with soldiers from Sameiro and NICAV from GNR de Braga, took charge of the incident.
