Two dead and 388 cases of covid-19 updated with more than 1600 recovered

This Tuesday, two more deaths from covid-19 were registered in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region and 388 new cases, thus exceeding the threshold of 821 thousand infections. Hospitalizations go down.

In 24 hours two more patients died with covid-19, both in the Lisbon region and in the Vale do Tejo: a man between 60-69 years old and a woman aged 80 or over.

Regarding the 388 new cases, it is in the north where the most positive results have been reported (147), followed by Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (140), the Centro area (46), Madeira (37), Azores (11), Algarve (four) and Alentejo (three).

We highlight the increase in the North (97 on Monday and 147 on Tuesday), in the Center (25 to 46) and in Madeira (8 to 37).

There’s also more than 1654 recovered, bringing to 777,503 the number of patients who managed to overcome the new coronavirus.

Hospitalizations confirm the downward trend with less 39 interns, a total of 584, and 129 are in intensive care, that is, minus seven.

Active cases dropped from 1,268 to 26,756, but there are plus 228 contacts under surveillance health authorities, a total of 15,853.

At the national level, 8,842 men and 8003 women have died and it is in the areas of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley and in the North where there are more deaths associated with covid-19, with 7,127 and 5,300 deaths, respectively. It is followed by the Center (2998), the Alentejo (970), the Algarve (353), Madeira (68) and the Azores (29).

Regarding the notification of contagions, the North stands out with 330,463, the Lisbon region presents 311,191, the Center 117,089, the Alentejo 29,071, the Algarve 20,640, Madeira 8595 and the Azores 4055.
