The route of the planes was changed: seven were diverted to Faro and the rest to Porto.

Twelve flights were suspended this afternoon, after the fire that broke out in Loures. According to an official ANA source, Aeroportos de Portugal, the company that manages the Humberto Delgado airport in Lisbon, the suspension of flights occurred between 4:31 PM and 5:52 PM.

Due to the fire fighting, seven flights were diverted to Faro and the remaining five to Portugal. The same source said that “the situation is now normalized.”

The fire alert occurred around 4:18 pm, in a forest area, in the town of Frielas, and at 7:00 pm, 83 operatives were fighting the flames. The fire is almost over.
