The defendants, aged between 20 and 40, are still responsible for the graffiti insults at the home of then-coach Bruno Lage, for assaults on Sporting fans, FC Porto and officials. These are crimes committed between 2018 and 2020, which claimed more than two dozen victims, among athletes, supporters of rival clubs and police.

The threatening graffiti painted on the building where Bruno Lage lived, in the early morning of June 5 this year, is the last crime mentioned in the indictment. Hours before, four members of the hard core of the Casuals had planned to stone the Benfica bus, in the middle of A2, with the aim of punishing the team for the defeat in Luz against Tondela.

Forensic investigations of seized mobile phones, the investigation captured exchanges of messages on the Telegram application, which reported the planning of the attack on the bus in which the players of Zivkovic and Weigl were injured with the broken glass. The Public Ministry highlights the premeditation of the crimes and adds: “This group (casuals) is characterized by the physical violence that it exerts on the fans of rival clubs. The achievements are symbolized by the theft of props from rival cheerleaders, such as T-shirts and caps that they take with them as trophies.

Six of the accused are awaiting trial in preventive or home detention.
