US President Donald Trump was taken to a military hospital for treatment less than 24 hours after being diagnosed with COVID-19, White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said Friday.

Trump was airlifted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he will remain in a special suite for the next several days as a precaution.

“President Trump remains in a good mood, has mild symptoms and has been working all day,” McEnany said in a statement.

“Out of great caution, and on the recommendation of his physician and experts, the president will work from the presidential offices in Walter Reed for the next few days,” the spokeswoman added. Doctors opted for this change so that Trump could receive immediate care if needed.

According to White House physician Sean Conley, Donald Trump received a cocktail antibody test, he remains “tired” but maintains “good morale,” Conley said.

According to the doctor, the president of the United States received a dose of cocktail experimental developed by the Regeneron laboratory, which gave encouraging preliminary results in clinical trials in a small number of patients.
