The National Express Network (RNE) decided to stop its buses starting at 1 pm on Saturday in the 191 municipalities at risk, determined by the Government, advances the ‘RTP, quoted by its director, Carlos Oliveira. “On Saturday (the network) will operate with a significant reduction in hours,” he says.

“Taking into account that in the morning there will still be a set of services according to a demand already verified and because people can circulate and in the afternoon there will be a set of schedules that they will have to return to their origins and will be carried out”, Explain.

The official says that “those hours that in certain points of the network would begin after 1 pm, those will not be carried out”, however on Sunday the offer is maintained. “Taking into account that the faculties will be open and, therefore, students will have to travel, RNE will operate with more schedules and a greater offer to satisfy the displacement and transportation needs.”

The Alfa Pendular and Intercity trains will also be withdrawn from 1:00 p.m. on the weekend, at least until November 23, according to the same publication, which reveals that this change applies only to long-distance, regional and urban areas remain unchanged. All other transport operators will maintain their usual weekend hours.

It is recalled that the Government decided to add 77 municipalities to the list considered high risk by the Covid-19 pandemic, removing seven, which means that the total is currently 191 municipalities at risk.

The decision was made on Thursday in the Council of Ministers and announced by Prime Minister António Costa at a press conference. “As we forecast of the 121 counties that are still covered, there will be some that will cease to be as of 00:00 today,” he reveals.

“There are seven regions in total: Moimenta da Beira, Tabuaço, São João da Pesqueira, Pinhel, Tondela, Mesão Frio and Batalha”, announces Costa and adds: “On the other hand, we regret that 77 municipalities of the country are now covered, from the 00:00 hours next Monday, for the measures related to the state of emergency.

Thus, the prime minister explains, “as of Monday, a total of 191 will be covered by the measures of the state of emergency,” he sums up calling “attention” that “in these 77 municipalities that have been added to the list, the state of The emergency will not come into effect until 00:00 next Monday, so that everyone has time to adapt.

«These new measures are extended until 11:59 p.m. on November 23, so that we can align the set of measures that are in force throughout the country in a state of calamity, with those that are in force now in these 191 municipalities of the state of emergency, all with the same schedule ”, explains Costa.
