The news moved the fans of the band and many friends of the ‘mainstream’ who still remember the founder of one of the most successful bands of the late twentieth century.

In 1998, the group released their first album, entitled “Eu Sei, Tu És”, which marked a whole generation of dance music lovers in the country.

In 2001 it won the SIC Golden Globe for the best musical group, beating bands like Xutos & Pontapés and The Gift.

The last album released by the band, “Gold”, dates back to 2015.

Herman José and Fernando Rocha were some of the public figures who mourned the death of the Porto resident living in Barcelos.

“Tony Lemos, the alma mater of the Santamaría group, left. He was only 48 years old and has a long way to go to let go of his talent. To the family, to the friends, a heartfelt hug ”, wrote Hérman José.

“F *** – ** Tony, why did you do that shit? I’m shit with you, I’m screaming inside Apart from your family, we all love you damn, nothing justifies suicide. Damn brother, why did you do that? Fuck, I’m off the ground, “wrote Fernando Rocha.

The date of the funeral ceremonies is not yet known.
