The Atlantic ‘fronts’ do not seem to give respite and another ‘storm’ is expected from tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, according to a statement from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

From 3:00 p.m., the intense and persistent rains are expected to continue until midnight on Friday, according to the institute’s forecasts. During this period, the yellow weather warning will be active, the third most severe on a scale of four.

In addition to the heavy rain, a lot of maritime unrest is expected, with waves from the northwest of 4 to 5 meters, so the IPMA also placed a yellow warning for maritime navigation and for those who wish to circulate by sea. This notice is effective from 00:00 hours on Friday until 00:00 hours on Saturday.

In view of the weather conditions, some municipalities of the Miño have already issued alerts related to civil protection, calling for special care on the roads and highways along the riparian zones.
