There are three new positive cases to report in Madeira. According to the IASaúde report, it is a case imported from the United Kingdom, another from France and another one of local transmission. In this sense, the Region now has 211 confirmed cases of covid-19 in the territory of Madeira.

On the other hand, there are four recovered cases to report, so the Region has a total of 157 recovered cases of covid-19. There are now 54 active cases, of which 44 are imported cases identified in the context of surveillance activities implemented at the Madeira airport and 10 are cases of local transmission.

Regarding the isolation of positive cases, 28 people are isolated in a dedicated hotel unit, 25 in their own accommodation and one patient is admitted to the Multipurpose Unit of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.

To date, 16,068 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the different counties using the Madeira Safe application, of which 7,426 are under active surveillance.

There are also two situations that are being studied by the health authorities. Epidemiological investigations are ongoing.
