Three more deaths and 388 new infected in Portugal

Three people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 1846. 388 more cases were recorded, most in the Lisbon region and the Tagus Valley.

Three more people have died in the last 24 hours from covid-19. According to official figures, released this Monday by the General Directorate of Health, the pandemic caused 1,846 deaths in Portugal, since March 2, when the first case was notified.

With 388 more infections recorded, the total number of COVID-19 cases now stands at 60,895, of which 15,903 are still active, 255 more than those recorded on Monday.

The bulletin also points to the recovery of 130 people in the last 24 hours, and the total number of people recovered exceeds 43,146.

The fatalities are two men, one from 70 to 79 years old and another from more than 80 years old, and a woman, also over 80 years old. Two of the victims lived in the North (851 deaths in total) and one in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region (687 deceased).

Lisbon and Tagus Valley Registry 225 (58%) out of a total of 388 new cases in the country, 31273 infected since the beginning of the pandemic. The north has 119 (30.7%) new patients in the last 24 hours (22049 not total).

The Central Region accumulated more 26 cases (7%), for a total of 5004, Keep up to date with 254 recorded deaths.

In Alentejo, more 11 (3%) infections998 in total), with no changes in the fatal records, which are 22. In the Algarve region, there are now 1171 confirmed cases (plus Three, 0.8%), keeping the same 17 deathly victims.
