The London coach is going through a difficult time and there is a name attached to the position.

With a season well below expectations and a club career with numbers unprecedented in the Abramovich era, Frank Lampard appears to be trembling at the helm of Chelsea. The defeat at home (1-3) against Manchester City left the team in a lousy eighth place in the Premier League and there are already those who name a successor.

According to The Athletic, the club is already studying alternatives and Thomas Tuchel appears in a good position to take over the Londoners. Curiously, he is a compatriot of Havertz and Werner, two great signings who have yet to work at Stamford Bridge, especially as regards the midfielder. Free on the market, Tuchel recently left PSG.

“Any rebuild hurts. It hurts behind the camera and sometimes on the field,” Lampard said defensively.
