“1 – The Regional Secretary of Education, Science and Technology (SRE) informs that the contingency plan of the Basic School of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cycle with Bartolomeu Perestrelo Preschool has been activated, after the positive test for COVID -19 from a school student today.
2 – In accordance with the procedures provided in said contingency plan and with the determinations of the regional health authority, a group of 31 students from the school has already been identified to carry out the tests.
3. With the exception of this group of students, who will not attend school tomorrow, the educational establishment will function normally, ensuring regular school activities, in safe conditions.
4. Because it is a case detected as a result of a positive test by a relative who, contrary to all the rules and recommendations, did not respect the isolation to which he should have been subjected until the confirmation of the result of the test carried out in the Airport after returning from the city. from Oporto, the SRE once again appeals to strict compliance with the rules and recommendations of the Health authority and the procedures of the contingency plans of the schools, under penalty of the collective security being compromised by acts of individual irresponsibility “.
