A Resolution of the Council of Ministers, which was published on Monday night in the Diário da República, determines that citizens cannot leave the municipality of habitual residence between 00:00 hours on the 30th October and at 06:00 on the 3rd of November, but it has exceptions and the end of the ban was anticipated.

According to the resolution, the restriction does not also apply to travel to participate in acts proceedings before judicial bodies or in acts competence of notaries, lawyers, solicitors, curators and registry officials, as well as for assistance in public services, provided they have proof of respective programming, departure from mainland Portugal and displacement of non-resident citizens to places of proven permanence.

Trips to attend sample cultural activities, if the movement occurs between neighboring municipalities with the habitual residence or in the same Zone Metropolitan and provided they have the respective ticket and return to habitual residence.
