The video has already gone viral on social media, with thousands of likes and questions from users about how such a price difference is possible.
The difference is explained by 6% VAT applied to surgical masks in Portugal, while in Spain, the National Drug Price Commission set, in April, the maximum price of each mask at 0.96 cents, already including VAT.
The Spanish press explains that although it is possible to buy masks below the maximum ceiling, the values are not compared to those applied in Portugal.
