The regional government asks the population to stay at home

The Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructures, the São Vicente City Council, Civil Protection, EEM and other entities involved in the operations, are on the ground cleaning the areas most affected by bad weather, namely, Ponta. Delgada, Boaventura, São Jorge and Arco de São Jorge.

Speaking to journalists, the regional secretary for Equipment and Infrastructures, Pedro Fino, called on people to stay in their homes, with the aim of making work run without restrictions and also for the safety of the population. However, access is guaranteed in an emergency.

At this moment, work is being done to clean up Regional Roads and unblock some water lines. The work should be done over the next few days and then the necessary evaluations will be made to get other work done.
