The Portuguese consider that the government has performed well in managing the pandemic. Almost half (48%) of the Portuguese believe that the Executive has done a good job since the coronavirus hit Portugal in March, according to the Aximage barometer for “JN”, “DN” and “TSF”, launched this Wednesday 30 from December.

In the three remaining age groups that make up the sample, the only notable deviation refers to those between 35 and 49 years old, but because they choose to take refuge in the “regular” (45%). Women are the most sympathetic to the government: 52% give a positive score (nine percentage points more than men), while negative evaluations are predominantly male (24%).
This survey was conducted by Aximage for “JN”, “DN” and “TSF” in order to assess the opinion of the Portuguese on issues related to Covid-19. The field work took place between December 19 and 22 and 812 interviews were collected from people over 18 years of age living in Portugal. A sample was made by quota, with sex, age and region, of the known universe, rebalanced by sex, age, education and region. The sample of 812 interviews corresponds to a confidence level of 95% with a margin of error of 3.4%.
