In today’s episode of Bem Me Quer, Teodora forces Pompey and Joca to make amends, telling Pompey that Joca has been led by Maria Rita’s influence against Carolina and he has to understand that. Joca insists with Honório that it makes no sense for María Rita to write a note saying that she was going to hurt Carolina, and she decided to go and clarify that story.
Carolina happily tells Pompeu that Henrique has offered to pay for her treatments, and Pompeu storms off. Joca tells Barnabé that someone put the note in María Rita’s room to trace it and the pastor asks who would be interested in this happening. María Rita tells Suzy that she doesn’t feel like being at the family lunch, and she gets mad at Joca because she thinks it may have been Henrique who wrote the ticket and hurriedly leaves.
Henrique tells María Rita that he was in charge of paying for all of Carolina’s treatments, saying that he wants her to feel at home, at home without thinking about what happened in Serra. Quintela, Sousa, Artur and Nuno have an aperitif before lunch. Rodolfo meets Nuno and Constança discussing environmental problems.
Mercedes interrupts the conversation by asking Rodolfo to help her choose a wine. Rodolfo confirms to Mercedes that everything is arranged for the police to discover the money stolen from the factory inside Arthur’s car. Mercedes says with satisfaction that he will free her from two problems, then counting on his help to reconcile David and Vera.
Maria Rita confesses to Suzy having been thinking about the hypothesis raised by Joca. Henrique tells Artur to start thinking about a promotion for him now that he is going to marry Vera. Nuno tries to speak, but Henrique apparently ignores him. Everyone looks in amazement at Aldina saying that the Judicial Police is at home and asked to speak to Arthur.
Vera, Mercedes and Rodolfo hide their tension. The inspectors tell Arthur that they have received a report and he tells them that they are free to search their car because they have nothing to hide. Artur informs Trindade de Sousa that the police received a report that he was the one who stole the money from Cerámica, but they found nothing in his car as expected.
Still in Bem Me Quer …
Mercedes and Rodolfo exchange a look of surprise and frustration. Laura looks beaming at the money in the bag she just brought from the street. Arthur makes a move to leave, saying he wants to find out who tried to conspire him with that stolen money story, refusing to let Vera go with her. Laura listens carefully to Arthur telling Luzia that the police received a report that the money that was stolen from Ceramics was in his car, with no idea who could have made such an accusation against him.
Laura discreetly hides a packet of notes that she left in the room. Henrique tells Rodolfo that he is very confused with what happened and with the suspicions that now fall of Arthur stealing the money from the Ceramics, asking him to speak with Moreira to try to find out what is happening. Vera tells Mercedes to make sure Arthur didn’t take money out of the car before the police searched it because if he had he would have said something.
Mercedes tells her daughter that all is still lost and that they can still plot Arthur in another way. Maria Rita and Marlene comfort Aldina, who cries in shock at the prospect of Arthur being trapped and thus destroying Vera and Maria’s lives. Vera tells them that she is going to Arthur to show her support, ignoring Maria Rita to tell her that she is convinced that Arthur is innocent in that story.
Nuno tells Mercedes not to know what happened to the money he put in Arthur’s car to disappear and Mercedes agrees to give him ten percent of the value if he finds out where the money is. Vera confirms with her mother that she has the security codes and inserts a pen into Arthur’s computer.
