The number of people infected by the outbreak that broke out last week in the municipality of Vila Verde increased from 50 to 62 in the last 24 hours, the mayor said today.
In statements to televisions, António Vilela was “concerned” by the increase that has been registered in recent days, reinforcing the intention of a greater inspection, even considering the limitation of the hours of cafes and restaurants in the village, according to O MINHO. on Friday.
These cases originate from the outbreak that has been occurring for a week, originated in a family context in a restaurant in the center of town that has since been closed by health authorities.

All these child cases have their origin in the same outbreak that started in a restaurant in the center of that village and is “identified”, according to the Minister of Health, and O MINHO was confirmed by a local source.
The restaurant in question was closed last week by health authorities after the owner accused the SARS CoV-2 virus of being positive. Since then, several family members have also tested positive, and the outbreak has spread throughout the community.
