men researchers claim that a new dominant strain of COVID-19-19 can adapt and in a short time be able to overcome ‘obstacles’ such as wearing a mask or washing continuously and disinfection hands.
Specialists from the city of Houston, Texas, in the United States, have been sequencer genomes of the virus since March and so far they have already categorized 5,085 sequences.

Experts from the University of Chicago and the University of Texas Austin say the D614G strain has already outperformed its competitors. And those people infected with this strain have much higher levels of viral load in the airways, which in turn contributes to the new coronavirus spread more easily and effectively.
Even so, and although the strain is more dominant, the researchers point out that this does not mean that it is more lethal. Emphasizing that the severity of the disease is mainly related to the patient’s health history and other previous diseases.
