After the group stage, the dragons reached the mark of 63 million euros raised this season in the European competition.
This Wednesday, FC Porto closed the group stage of the 2020/21 Champions League with a 2-0 victory against Olympiacos.
The team led by Sérgio Conceição had already secured their qualification for the round of 16 – the group finished in second place, behind Manchester City – and went on to eliminate with 63 million euros (€ M) raised in the competition.
Let’s go to the accounts: the four victories in the group stage yielded a sum of € 10.8 million, to which are added the 900 thousand euros related to the draw with City, in Dragão. The entry for the round of 16 of the race is accompanied by a prize of 9.5 million euros.
The presence only in the group stage, remember, will immediately guarantee 41.8 million euros for the Blue and White coffers. In total, there are then 63 million euros that enter the coffers of Porto.
It should be remembered that FC Porto will have at least two more games to play in this edition of the Champions League: the round of 16, whose draw is scheduled for Monday.
