The Ministry of Infrastructure today welcomed the conclusion of emergency agreements with the majority of the unions that represent TAP SA. “These agreements are fundamental for the present survival and for the future sustainability of the company,” according to a statement from the ministry released this Monday, February 8.

The “intense negotiations” took place in recent weeks between the Government, the management of TAP SA and the unions of the company “in the sense of reaching emergency agreements to be in force in 2024, or until the celebration and implementation of new agreements between the parties ”.

“These negotiations resulted in the signing of 6 emergency agreements with 15 union structures, covering Pilots, Cabin Crew and Ground Personnel, including civil aviation and airport workers, aircraft maintenance, metallurgists and related workers, aviation personnel. commercial, civil aviation workers, economists, management technicians, among others ”, according to the guardianship.

The ministry points out that some of the agreements “will only come into effect later, and in case they deserve the agreement of the associated workers.”

The agreements are fundamentally aimed at “reducing the salary level and on voluntary measures, such as part-time work, the revocation of employment contracts, early retirements and early retirement agreements, and are compatible with the economic objectives established in the Plan of work .
