As JM announced a moment ago, there is an employee of the water sector of the Municipality of Santa Cruz who is infected with covid-19.

Through a statement, the municipality of Santa Cruz clarified the situation surrounding this case.

“Together with the health authorities, through a delegate from Santa Cruz, the closest contacts are being screened for the positive case, who will have contracted the virus through contact with a family member, who also tested positive. .

At this time, all the preventive measures contained in the Contingency Plan of this municipality, in force since March of this year, have been reinforced. We remember the mandatory use of a mask, social distance, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.

For now, and according to the guidelines of the health authorities, it is not considered a priority or appropriate to send any worker to home isolation, unless the worker has tested positive. Nor is it indicated to close any service.

According to the health authority, as long as people have complied with the rules of the contingency plan, that is, the use of a mask, there is no effective risk of contagion.

The health authority will also decide which employees will be tested for COVID-19.

The measures dictated by the health authority can be updated in the course of the epidemiological investigation that is being carried out ”, explains the statement sent to JM.
