This Monday the first death from coronavirus reinfection in the world was registered. According to the Spanish newspaper The world, which quotes the site in English Oxford University Press, this is an 89 year old Dutch woman who also had a lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma, a rare type of cancer.

Analysis of the woman revealed that the reinfection was caused by a different strain of the coronavirus.

At the beginning of the year, the elderly woman was admitted to the emergency room with a high fever and cough, and finally tested positive for Covid-19. After being hospitalized for five days, she recovered.

Two months later he had a fever, cough and respiratory problems again, having tested positive for the disease again. Eight days later, his health began to deteriorate, resulting in his death two weeks later.

It is recalled that there are 23 confirmed cases of reinfection by coronavirus worldwide, however, this is, however, the only death registered so far.
