The detainee is suspected of shooting a man in a bar in Funchal on Friday night, following an argument over who would pay the bill, the owner of the establishment told the Lusa news agency.
“Six or seven people came to the bar around 11 at night and had a drink and then one of them started a discussion out of nowhere, about who was going to pay the bill and threatened to shoot him,” Magno Rodrigues said.
