Braga wins at Dragão and, five years later, returns to the Cup final. The goalkeepers played almost 70 minutes against ten, but still avoided defeat.
The semifinal smiled at Braga, in a lap that was once again full of emotions. This time, Minho was reduced to ten, due to the controversial expulsion of Borja, still in the first half, but at that time FC Porto already had a mountain too high to climb. In a few days, hopes for dragon titles in the remainder of the season have been almost completely dashed and the goals are going downhill.
The start of the match was decisive for Braga’s classification. With a sensational tackle, Carlos Carvalhal’s team scored three goals in less than half an hour and made a great shoe for a stunned Porto defender. Sérgio Conceição opted for Sarr as a left defender, instead of Zaidu, and it was there that Braga built the plays of the first two goals, concluded by a diabolical Abel Ruiz, who, in the center, was still shooting from the crossbar. Without the injured Mbemba on the field, FC Porto had time to return to the fight for the tie.
Despite leaning against the ropes, Braga held the lead well until the break. Conceição risked everything he could in the second half, the dragons created a series of scoring chances, but they only managed to do it once, for Marega, in the 75th minute. Before and after that goal, goalkeeper Matheus ensured the victory of the Minho with a series of high-level stops.
Five years after winning the trophy in Jamor, in a final against FC Porto, Braga returns to the Portuguese Cup final.

Abel Ruiz finished off Porto’s defense at the start of the match. Braga knew how to suffer and defend correctly during all the time he played with 10.
NEGATIVE
Sarr made blatant mistakes as a left-back, especially on the 0-2 play. Sérgio Conceição’s initial approach failed across the board.
REFEREE
Soares Dias expelled Borja after seeing the images and the decision did not seem right. There is no fault in the free kick that Braga gives 0-3.
