(Reuters) – The United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 1,005,147 cases of the new coronavirus on Wednesday, an increase of 23,901 cases from the previous count, and reported the number of deaths increased by 2,247 at 57,505.
The CDC reported its case count for respiratory disease, known as Covid-19, caused by a new coronavirus, according to data released as of Tuesday afternoon, compared to the previous day’s count.
CDC figures do not necessarily reflect cases reported by individual states.
