Emanuel Ferro was Sporting’s spokesman before the match with Aberdeen (Thursday, 8:00 PM), counting for the Europa League third qualifying round. Rúben Amorim’s assistant assumed some complications due to the Covid-19 outbreak that affects the workforce, but ensures that the team is prepared.

‘Nobody is prepared for these kinds of circumstances. It is something that society is learning to live with and understand that can arise at any time. It is worth highlighting the response of the structure, which punctually maintained everything that was essential to maintain our work. Several consecutive cases, on different days, for reasons that we could not control, it is unusual, but we followed the protocols, the guidelines of the DGS and we realized what it was to do. Today we are with everyone ready ”, he began by explaining.

Emanuel Ferro also commented on the absence of the bank of Rúben Amorim, one of those infected by the new coronavirus.

“We did not have the leader of the technical team physically present, it is something that makes a difference, but new technologies allow us to minimize the impact of this. Rúben was always present in the team’s work and we tried, within limitations, to prepare the team in the best way. We are aware that, with a great response from the players, the individual responsibility of each one and the focus on competing, we are prepared for tomorrow’s game ”, he concluded.
