The return of fans to stadiums was one of the questions posed to Graça Freitas, from the General Directorate of Health and Marta Temido, Minister of Health, at the usual conference on the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. The two officials forwarded any explanation for the future.

“There are no prejudices against football, but we need to understand the context in which we are. Now we need to see what happens with the resumption of classes, which will result in the movement of thousands and thousands of people daily, and understand what will happen with winter and fall. We are in favor of the maximum possible normality, but we must be cautious “, explained Graça Freitas.

“You have to be patient and send decisions that are not essential for the future,” added the minister.

It should be remembered that the official start of professional competitions in Portugal is scheduled for September 12, with League 2. The main stage starts the following weekend, without any of the events allowing the entry of fans.
