Eintracht Frankfurt announced this Thursday the definitive signing of Portuguese international André Silva, who in 2019/20 played for the German club on loan from Milan. The former FC Porto player signed a contract until 2023 and was one of the stars of Frankfurt last season, having scored 16 goals in all competitions.
“We saw the efficiency of André Silva and it was no coincidence that he was the second best scorer in the Bundesliga after the restart after the pandemic. He is young and, at 24, still has enormous potential to develop. We are convinced that we can take it to the highest level and we are very happy with the signing, “said Fredi Bobic, the club’s sporting director.
The forward signed for Milan to FC Porto in 2017 for 38 million euros but never won in the rossoneri. He scored 10 goals in 41 games and was loaned to Sevilla in 2018/19 before heading to the Bundesliga.
Frankfurt did not disclose the securities involved in the deal.
