This Monday Alverca updated Alex Apolinário’s health. The 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on Sunday during the match with União de Almeirim, on matchday 10 of the Portuguese Championship Series F.
According to the Ribatejo emblem, Alex Apolinário is in an induced coma at the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital, in serious condition. Alverca also thanked all those who gathered “in a gigantic show of appreciation for human life.”

«FC Alverca Futebol SAD confirms that the athlete Alex Apolinário suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest during the FC Alverca vs UFC Almeirim match, on January 3, 2021.
According to information from the clinical staff of the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital, the athlete is in a serious condition, stabilized and in an induced coma.
For now we have to thank the wave of solidarity with the athlete that came to us from the four corners of the world.
