The luxury truck market still has its space, but some always want more and are looking for alternatives to see the beautiful sedan become a family style. In this idea, two Dutchmen turned a Tesla Model S into a truck.
They decided to have a Tesla truck, even though Elon Musk might not agree with the idea, although he would like to. Floris and Frank searched for a copy of the American brand’s electric sedan and found a 2013 S 85 Performance model.
From then on, everything seems easier, right? Not so much. They needed a graft that would adapt well to the extension of the body. They found a donor of style (English) and great elegance, the Jaguar XF Sportbrake.
Before thinking that it would be a waste to dismantle it for this project (and it really would be, if it were not sinister), we already said that the idea went wrong. The reason is that the English van is made of steel and the Model S’s body is made of aluminum.
Floris and Frank had to have another idea and it was the reproduction of the rear of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake, which ended up lending the differential of this Model S. Incidentally, after the successful grafting, the name of the car could already change to the Model SB (Shot Brake).
By working out the details well, the couple made the Tesla Model SB look perfect. To pay tribute to the donor and also to the Aston Martin DB5 Shooting Brake, they inserted a special paint in a beautiful Old English Green.
They also made changes to the finish, including an exclusive badge, inserted into this Model SB, and also affixed to the exterior of the car. Now ready, they decided to sell it at JB Classics for not less than € 185,555 or R $ 1.13 million.
Like a 2013 S 85 Performance, the Model SB has 422 horsepower in electric motors on both axles, allowing this member of the family to have up to 438 km of autonomy with its 85 kWh batteries. The new truck has little more than 60 thousand kilometers traveled. Interested
