A diesel spill, which extended for almost ten kilometers, interrupted circulation on the EN103, during the morning of this Thursday, and originated a long line, mainly in the direction of Póvoa de Lanhoso to Braga, in the Variante da Serra do Serra do Carvalho, one of the busiest roads in this district.

According to JN, it was found in the place that the diesel stain reached both traffic routes, but mainly affected the east-west direction (Póvoa de Lanhoso-Braga), generating lines of several kilometers while cleaning work was carried out throughout that section .

The diesel spill originated in a goods tractor, without an attached semi-trailer, owned by a company from Póvoa de Lanhoso, which was heading to Braga at around 9 in the morning.

In the area there are four GNR patrols from the Braga and Territorial da Póvoa de Lanhoso traffic detachments, while a company contracted by Infraestruturas de Portugal has been applying a stone powder solution to prevent the vehicles that circulate from skidding, under heavy rains in this affected area, between the Rotundas do Ouro (Póvoa de Lanhoso) and Santa Lucrécia de Algeriz (Braga).
