Fenprof announced on Friday the scheduling of a national strike for December 11 of kindergarten teachers and teachers of basic and secondary education, covering both face-to-face and distance learning.

The announcement was made after a delegation from the National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) went to the official residence of the Prime Minister to “expose the situation in education, formalize the delivery of the strike call, but make a last effort to open avenues of dialogue ”.

“Given the situation that has been reached, there is no alternative but to resort to a strike, as a form of protest, but also to demand dialogue, negotiation and solutions to specific problems,” says Fenprof in a statement.

The union structure indicates that this call for a strike covers the entire national territory and covers all teachers, “regardless of whether the service assigned to them is academic or non-academic, and is given in person or remotely.”
