The PSD today criticized the government for not delivering TAP’s restructuring plan to Parliament, which was sent to the European Commission last week.

Even before the hearing of the Minister of Infrastructure began on Wednesday, Deputy Cristóvão Norte criticized Pedro Nuno Santos for not having sent the document to the Assembly of the Republic.

“I wanted to ask if the minister sent TAP’s restructuring plan to the economy committee. I think it would be extremely important because today the TAP restructuring bill would be presented to Parliament, and so far the commission has no knowledge of this matter, ”said the Social Democratic deputy.

Cristóvão Norte also criticized the fact that Pedro Nuno Santos waived his right to deliver a 10-minute speech at the start of the hearing.

And I also take note of the circumstance of the minister, who has the prerogative of spending 10 minutes to present the general lines of this plan, having not done so, abdicating this intervention, “criticized the Social Democrat.

Currently, Pedro Nuno Santos is being heard by the parliamentary economy committee on the TAP restructuring plan, at the request of the Left Bloc. The document was delivered to the European Commission on December 10.

In response, the Infrastructure Minister said that the Portuguese Parliament had more information about the plan even before it was handed over to the European Commission.

Pedro Nuno Santos affirmed that the most relevant points of the plan have already been communicated to the deputies, and that it cannot be disclosed in its entirety because it contains “a matter of maximum sensitivity for TAP and for all its competitors.”
