Suspect of killing father and pregnant sister in Torres Vedras detained in Amadora

The young man suspected of murdering his father and sister in Torres Vedras was arrested early Monday by the PSP. TVI. It was located in Amadora and handed over to the Judicial Police, which is investigating the case.

According to a PSP statement, the suspect was approached when he was with another man, both hiding next to a car. The agents ended up approaching the individuals for presenting a “suspicious attitude.”

The victims were found in a house in Santa Cruz with stab wounds. The woman was 37 years old and four months pregnant.

The suspect is 28 years old and has been missing since Saturday morning, when authorities learned of the crime.

The clients of the fish shop, owned by the male victim and located next to the house, were surprised that the establishment was closed and no one responded, the commander of the Torres Vedras firefighters, Fernando Barão, explained to Lusa.

People warned firefighters and authorities that, after breaking down the door, they came to find the 63-year-old man and his 37-year-old daughter dead in their home from stab wounds.
