Survey shows Ana Gomes going up and Marcelo going down | Presidential election

Ana Gomes rises and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa falls in voting intentions for the presidential elections, according to an Intercampus poll for the Business journal, Mail in the morning and CMTV. The survey reveals that the Socialist now concentrates 17.2% of preferences (3.2% more than in September), compared to 56.2% for Marcelo (4% less), whose re-election has not yet been announced.

André Ventura, Chega’s candidate, is in third position with 8.2% of voting intentions, one percentage point less than in the Intercampus poll last month. Ventura said he would resign the party presidency if he fell behind Ana Gomes. In August, the leader Chega came in second place with 10% of preferences.

Marisa Matias, candidate for the Bloco de Esquerda, maintains the 6.1% that she had last month.

The PCP candidate, João Ferreira, whose name is included in the survey for the first time, appears with 2.6% of the voting intentions, slightly below the 2.9% that Jerónimo de Sousa collected a month ago, when was presented as a possible candidate.

In the last place is Tiago Mayan Gonçalves, candidate of the Liberal Initiative, who collects 1.5% of the intentions. It still gains one percentage point compared to last month.
