The messages were exchanged through the WhatsApp application, said the same source on Tuesday, confirming information from the BFMTV television channel.

Samuel Paty, 47, a history teacher, was beheaded on Friday afternoon near the school where he taught in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, on the outskirts of Paris. The alleged murderer, Abdouallakh Anzorov, 18, of Chechen origin, with refugee status in France, was shot and killed by the police.

In a video posted on social media on October 8, more than a week before the attack, that father called for a mobilization against the teacher after a class on Muhammad cartoons, which his daughter would have attended. The man gave his phone number on the social network Facebook, in the message accompanying the video.

His daughter is in fact part of the class that Samuel Paty gave a class on freedom of expression on October 6, but this day was lost, according to a source close to the dossier.

On October 12, the father posted a new video on YouTube addressed to the teacher, where he is seen in the company of Islamic activist Abdelhakim Sefrioui.

The two men are in custody as part of the counter-terrorism investigation, along with 13 other people, including four students.
