A fuel service station, located in Levada do Cavalo, in Funchal, was robbed on Sunday night.

Two hooded and masked individuals entered the Repsol gas station, descending the Estrada da Liberdade, around 11 at night and, under the threat of a knife, subtracted money whose amount could not be calculated.

After the robbery, the duo of robbers fled, continuing on foot to the Pilar area, Santo António parish, in possession of the money from the cash fund.

The alert was delivered to the Public Security Police, which immediately mobilized a patrol to the site, conducting searches to locate the suspects.

According to DIÁRIO, the PSP would intercept them in the Pilar area. The two men were seen running, raising suspicions.

One of them had in his possession a sum of money and a knife that were seized.

Both were transferred to the PSP Police Station, where the defendants were constituted and notified to appear in court. They commit crimes of theft and possession of a prohibited weapon. The investigation continues the proceedings under the supervision of the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action.
