mespecialists at Emory University in Atlanta, United States, detetaram that certain cells may be the reason why some people suffer from COVID-19-19 persistent.
The condition was named by doctors and scientists because certain patients suffered from symptoms associated with the disease even months after they tested negative for coronavirus SARS–CoV-2.
The study, published in medRxiv, reveals that it is now possible to test patients for these antibodies, it should help develop a treatment for those experience debilitating symptoms.
American experts analyzed 52 blood samples from people who had been seriously ill with COVID-19-19 and meanwhile he had been discharged from the hospital.
Subsequently, the results revealed that 44% of the body had antibodies that reacted to portions of the DNA human.
Among the group of individuals who had been most seriously ill and required intubation, more than 70% had self-destructive immune cells.
Many of the patients also had antibodies that neutralized proteins that contribute to healthy blood clots, also known as factor rheumatoid.
Experts believe this may explain why people who suffer from COVID-19 persistent experience problems cardiovascular, renal and generalized inflammation of the organism.
The fact that specialists now have the ability to test for antibodies means that treatments may soon begin to help patients with COVID-19 persistent.
