Sindika Dokolo, businessman and husband of Isabel dos Santos, died this Thursday in Dubai. Dokolo was a victim of drowning while snorkeling, an activity that he practiced frequently.

Sindika Dokolo, 48, was born in Kinshasa, in the former Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Married to the businesswoman and daughter of former Angolan president José Eduardo dos Santos since 2002, Dokolo is said to have been the victim of cardiac arrest and drowning, according to various Congolese media.

The businessman had four children as a result of his marriage to Isabel dos Santos.

“It was during a dive that you left for eternity, a habitual activity that took you out of the fight and out of your loved ones,” Michée Mulumba, personal assistant to the head of state, Felix Tshisekedi, lamented on her Twitter account.

On her Twitter account, Isabel dos Santos posted a photo of the couple without captions. In the comments there are several followers of the businesswoman who express their condolences.

Sindika Dokolo has a degree in Economics, Commerce and Foreign Languages ​​from the Pierre and Marie Curie University.
